Dedicated to the memory of Jenny Willoughby (1972-2024)

This site is a tribute to Jenny. She was much loved and will always be remembered.

A celebration of Jenny's life

Funeral service is at St Marylebone Crematorium on Thursday 2nd May 2024 at 4pm followed by a reception in Highgate.

The service will be live-streamed and also available for viewing from 2-3 days after the service. Go to watch.obitus.com, username: jame8852, PIN: 722758.

The Crematorium entrance is separate from that for East Finchley Cemetery and there is no access through the cemetery. The crematorium shares a turning off East End Road with Christ College. It is less than a mile and a half from Finchley Central or East Finchley Underground stations and the 143 bus runs outside the Crematorium from both stations. There are 46 marked parking spaces within the crematorium grounds.

Please join us for a reception following the service to raise a glass and continue to celebrate Jenny's life. The reception will be held at our home, 17 Holly Lodge Gardens, N6 6AA. If you are parking, please put a note on the dashboard with the following information: Visiting 17 Holly Lodge Gardens, May 2, 2024, 5pm, [your mobile number].

In lieu of flowers and to honour Jenny's lifelong support of refugees, please consider making a donation below in her name to the International Care Network. ICN is a Dorset-based charity near to Jenny's heart and helps rebuild the lives of asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants.

Thoughts

I am deeply grateful to Jenny for her generosity in sharing her knowledge and passion for supporting refugees and people with me whilst working together on Ukraine Response. The giggles, holiday planning chats, and tales of travel experiences all added to the pleasure of working with her. It seems unfair that someone as vibrant and full of life as Jenny should have her journey cut short. I’m comforted knowing her legacy will continue to resonate in the work we do, and through the significant impact she has made. I’ll raise a glass of something cold and bubbly in your honour, Jenny xx

Jenny, I regularly reflect on how lucky I was to work with you for those years at Victim Support. You were a mentor for me, and I still try to emulate your perfect balance of professional, unflappable and wise, but topping all these was the warmth and care you showed to us all. You remain a huge influence in my life and were a true friend when I needed one, I will never forget your kindness. Or how much you loved to laugh! With all the admiration in the world, you will always be remembered.

Jenny was and remains an inspirational part of my life personally, and I will never forget her constant bright outlook on life, and the laughter - she made life funny, no matter the topic. Jenny had this extraordinary ability to naturally light up any room, and she treated everyone as equals in a way that few can. She was a genuine one of a kind, and we will miss her terribly but console ourselves with the amazing memories and cherish the wonderful moments we had with her. We love you Jenny. xxx
